Phase one: Jack thoughts
I see my sections of Quartet so far as two extreme versions of myself. The first being a version that is slightly outspoken, a little harsh and that has an appreciation for humour and the other being vulnerable, emotional and primal.
My main concerns in this stage of Quartet have been to find ways in which to engage with an audience in ways that I usually wouldn’t and also to find ways in which to possibly make myself and the audience experience and understand how it is ‘to feel alive’ whether it be through offering the audience a platform to express their opinion during the performance, by making them part of the performance and of course through dance and physicality.
It is important to recognise and remember that this ‘feeling of being alive’ is all about the now. In the moment and actual.
‘It is essential for sucess to grasp the fact that this is your only moment of being alive. The past, although it did happen, is not actual now, the future, though it will happen, is not actual now, only now is actual’ - Actualfreedom.com.au
